DEFORMATION SURVEYS

DEFORMATION & MONITORING SURVEYS

Deformation and monitoring surveys are carried out to measure and analyse changes in the shape or position of structures, terrain, and objects over time.

WHY DEFORMATION SURVEYS MATTER

The primary purpose of these surveys is to detect and quantify movements such as settlement, subsidence, tilting, or lateral shifts. Early detection allows for proactive action to reduce risks and prevent potential structural failures.

OUR APPROACH

We use advanced surveying technology to ensure accurate and reliable results, including:

Total Stations for precise distance and angle measurements

GNSS (GPS) for high-accuracy positioning

Inclinometers to monitor tilt and angular movement

By continuously monitoring key control points, we can quickly identify deviations from expected positions and recommend timely interventions when structural movement is detected.

APPLICATIONS

Deformation and monitoring surveys are commonly used for:

  • Buildings and high-rise structures

  • Bridges and dams

  • Roads and embankments

  • Mining and excavation sites

  • Landfill and slope stability monitoring

I have worked with Foresite for many years, and they have consistently provided a very responsive service, on time and with a very high degree of accuracy. I have no hesitation in recommending his company for topographic and measured building surveys.
